On Saturday August 13, join us at Leffingwell for Midsummer Living History. The Lebanon Militia will be on site with their wonderful living history presenters as will Big Bear Trading Company carrying all your Colonial shopping needs! The museum will have an exhibit of two personal journals kept during whaling voyages in 1845 and 1877. They read like Moby Dick! Also you can speak with Mary Brewster, wife to William Brewster, Captain of the whaling ship Tiger. Mary sailed, with her husband, on the 1845 voyage hunting whales in the South Pacific.
